Brittany graduated magna cum laude from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts and later earned her J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law, also graduating magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. After law school, she worked at a large Detroit-based law firm handling employment and commercial litigation matters. Before pursuing her legal education, Brittany served ten years on active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard.
