Matthew D. Wellington is an associate attorney with Starr, Butler, Alexopoulos & Stoner, PLLC. He focuses his practice on the defense of professional liability claims, including medical malpractice. He also defends employment claims related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Matt received his law degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law in 2013. During law school, he was a member of the Criminal Law Clinic and participated in multiple internships, including for the New Hampshire Office of the Attorney General; the Concord, New Hampshire state district court; and the Massachusetts Committee for Public Counsel Services (office of the public defender). Matt received his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2010, summa cum laude.
After law school, he relocated to Michigan and clerked for Judge Stephen L. Borrello of the 4th District Michigan Court of Appeals before working for an Oakland County based litigation defense firm.
