Frances J. Hollander, an associate with Starr, Butler, Alexopoulos & Stoner, PLLC, focuses her practice on the defense of employment claims, representing employers against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims. She also practices in the areas of commercial litigation, professional liability and general litigation.
Frances received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2017. During law school, she worked for Family Law Project, a non-profit serving low-income survivors of domestic violence in Washtenaw County, as a student attorney and project coordinator. She also interned for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office in the Domestic Violence Unit and externed for the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office in the Criminal Sexual Conduct Unit. Frances also worked fin the law school's human trafficking clinic, volunteered for the Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse, and was a member of the Michigan Journal of Law Reform. She received her undergraduate degree, a B.A. in linguistics, from the University of Michigan in 2013. After law school, Frances worked for the Michigan Court of Appeals. Most recently, she worked for an Ann Arbor litigation firm as a plaintiff-side employment law litigator.
